Hey everyone!

Exciting times - lately I was really busy with my exams, but more importantly I went deeper in my works with 3D animation - as my next projejt (an intro film and a complete new graphics design for a bedding company) needs it... But I love it - it gives more possibilities for 2D as well!
On the other side, I had a very interesting photoshoot for Filler Magazine with the great Vivienne Balla and soon I'll have 2 more shootings in London with 2 great great photographers as well! Can't wait to go! :)

Oh yeah, random thing: lots of you ask what program I use for my animations - well, unfortunately I don't really know any specific program to make chracters moving and I don't really like those ways anyway - so my animation is absolutely traditional, so I draw every frame, and as I work alone I do all the other jobs as tweening and coloring and background painting as well! Sorry guys, it's tough! But from experience I can say usually when you try to find the easy way, then it doesn't look nice or you can see it's not as good as wanted it to be, so I rather do it in the hard way... but I love it, so I don't mind at all :)

But a good thing: Next week we are shooting a little behind the scenes for "Closer" video - can't wait to show some interesting stuff to you guys! ;)

An end of an iconic series!

Those who know me, they know that I love iconic animations! One of my favorite directors is Kunihiko Ikuhara, who directed Sailor Moon and Revolutionary Girl Utena - those are iconic and untouchable series and just enjoyable to watch now as they were at first long ago!
Now his newest work is joining to these series and is called Mawaru-Penguindrum!
It's such a wonderful animation to watch and the story is misterious, insoluble and exciting from beginning to the end! I recommend to watch it to everybody who liked Sailor Moon or Utena, or just like to watch these kind of stories, but honestly I think everybody could find something to like in it!
Mister Ikuhara congratulations, you did it again!

Haaaaaaaaaaa! My intro is ready aaaand it's here! Yaaaay! Hope you'll like this - I wanted it to be like it can completely represent me and my work - so hopefully you'll see this a lot of times before my films in the future! :)

Btw it's winter which is my fave season ( I think you could guess that) so usually it's my busiest time with work - I get inspired by the whole winter pace... although mostly I got is flu this week :D

Had such a good week - had a new haircut for a shoot and love it, kinda weird yet, but I'm gonna get used to it quickly I'm sure!
I had my birthday too on Wednesday - OMG it was amazing, I have lots of good friends, looooooooove them! We had a really great party too - hmmmmmmmm .... .... I wouldn't go into details :D
And the moste exciting new: My Closer video I submitted for Kylie's management - and what was supposed to be released on my birthday - was finally got confirmed to be released early next year OFICIALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the message on Friday - I signed a contract so I can't tell any detail, but it's gonna be released by Darenote LTD - that is why I can'T upload it anywhere, but you can watch it sooooooooooooooooon! :)

P.S.: it's literally so HARD not to upload it, I want you guys to see it!!!!

Busy days these were! I was working on a video since October for a Canadian writer - it's like a trailer for his story - It came out very well and my next project will be a little fashion video for a designer - it's going to be a very fun animation, I can't wait to start! But before that I'm going to go to the UK this Saturday for modeling and to rest a little - and to see my English friend - for a few days! Gonna be refreshing! :)

Hey everybody, slow days ha?! Spring is here - well it seems winter sometimes - and my days collide into one - I'm working on 2 new projects of mine - one short animation for a Canadian writer and the other is Kylie's video for Closer!
Gosh school has started and had some modelling job as well - shot my first fashion video with Emilio Paccini in Milano - talk about being tired, but love it!
I had an interview yesterday with the American Anime Awards - it's amazing - gonna post it when I get it!

Summerbreak is about to start for me and soon I'm gonna go to rest this year to the Adria - aaand to catch up a bit with my own things like my comics, Snow Petals! I'd like to publish it veeery-very soon in the US, so I have to pull myself together a bit! I'm planning some changes as well - a little in the character design and a little in the plot too! And of course there is Cross Tale! I'm so glad about the feedbacks and the lots of nice messages so I try to figure out, how can I publish it - because I won't just leak it - I make it all alone and we are talking about traditional animation, so you can imagine how hard work is it, just for a play! Hey everybody - yesterday was sooo packed - I had two shoots in one day - the first for Kyra Bak (designer, stylist) - it was a very-very good, colorful 'skater' shoot with another guy for a fashion magazine here - it was very funny, our faces and arms were painted all over and had very cool clothes and jewels!
The other was for another designer - Sophie Boncsér - who made a man-skirt and we did the promo for that - by the way the man-skirt looks really awesome!! I didn't think! Aaand the photographer was Peter Hencz, who is amazing! I was already a great fan of his photos and I was very happy to be able to work with him! Aaand we will do another shoot next week, couldn't be better! :)

This week was crazy! I mean it was ALL what crazy means - lots of things happened to me. First of all, there will be lots of changes in the near future what was a must to happen! I guess can move forward more easily after then, but yet changes is the thing I'm not good to handle in... but I'm sure I will feel so much better from now on, after all, everything what happened is good! :)
Another topic - I get lots of questions about Snow Petals and of course Cross tale!
About Snow Petals - I'm making it and gonna publish it as a whole volume so it's a lil' bit more time! But before that I'm making a one-shot side-story which has connections to Snow Petals yet a very beautiful independent story - I'd say a tale! Yeah, it's definitely a fairy tale! I'm gonna tell more about it later!
About Cross Tale - the second trailer is on it's way and is gonna be very good - AND it'll be dubbed!
It's a very problematic thing for me, but I do my best and I can say everything looks very good!

New, high-fashion shoot with Tamás Dobos

Yesterday I had a shoot, like never before! I've always wanted to shoot with Tamás Dobos - I like his works for example for 'The Room' magazine and the opportunity has finally came!
It was wonderful, the crew was amazing - I especially liked the make up artist - well there will be a loads of make up, so we had the time to talk :D - and the stylist too. The styling is very tricky because the outfits and the make up seems feminine but the result is yet very manly!
It was very easy to work with Tamás - he is a very nice, yet very purposeful person and his ideas were very creative, so I really can't wait to show the pics to you!
Next week I'm gonna shoot with Sam Scott Schiavo and after that with Peter Hencz - who are also amazing photographers, this Thursday I'll have a casting for Kult Hamburg, so these will be quite busy times, but I'm very happy about it!!! :)

Busy start

2011 just started and it's already soooo stuffed!

First of all, I had an amazing shoot in Prague at the first week of January with the crew of the local InStyle - pics are coming soon!

Then I got the chance to shoot soon with 2 AMAZING photographers!!!
One of them is Sam Scott Schiavo - who is famous about his strong and very masculine pictures - I'm going to go to Wien soon to shoot with him. Here is his page if you are interested :

Hey there people!

Busy times behind me!
First of all - I was featured on Viva Tv on 13th December and had a lovely talk with the 3 VJs - Eszti, Zola and Fluor - they are really nice and I had the chance to paint them there - in LIVE!
It was fun! :)

The other thing - my first poll is closed and I'm so happy - quite much of you voted and it was very head to head - but Rihanna won - thank God! So what is now? I'm planning which song from Loud should I work with and begin the preparations!

This year was sooooooo good! I had the chance to work with and met with so many AMAZING people out there!
But I think this year was the best to place my bombs - which will explode next year which will be even more amazing than this!! :)

I can't wait to begin to travel in January again, just like to start to work on the Rihanna video, and of course on January the new Cross Tale video comes out, so there are quite much to look forward to! :)

But for now it's HOLIDAY TIMEEE!!! I wish you all a very happy and beautiful Christmas and a HAPPY NEW YEAR, filled with a lots of success!!!!!

I really love Rihanna's new project - the whole style and songs are just exactly my type! I have to say, I was already a fan of hers from her "Good girl gone bad" album, but it seems for me she is back at the right path with this new album - a little wiser, more grown up, but just as entertaining as she was!
I'm really excited for her now and if I'm honest the most I'd like to make for her the video (although my opinion changes within the weeks)

Ahhhh busy weeks behind me!

...Lately I put my modeling career to the first place - and it's really worth it - on the last two weeks I had 2 photo shoots - one with an exceptionally nice and funny Dorotta Vasyl.
It was kinda mature, artistic editorial and yet very minimalistic at the same time! It's called 'Le chambre lumineuse' and it's for an american fashion magazine.

The other shoot was with a newcomer - Bálint Barna for 'Poster Urban Outfit'
Despite it was his first official shoot, he was very good. It was easy to work with him, and the clothes were spectacular - and my pair was lovely as well - we are both from the same agency, so it was good to work with them!!!

Sooooo the searching for American publishers has started. It's so exciting, I hope I can find a good one!
Anyway in Hungary it's time for the new chapter to come out - In fact it's the real 1st chapter, because the previous was an introduction extra chapter.

I almost finished my short film like promo animation for my original manga - Snow Petals !!!!
I will put it onto my youtube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/rudolf81 after I premier it in the Hungarian Viva TV. I don't know when I'll exactly be there, but I'm gonna announce it ASAP!

Snow Petals is a very exciting project for me, because it's my first work what is other than animation, although I involved the animation with this promo video, because it's my specialty.
And when it's out I'm gonna search for foreign publishers too - if you know a good publisher please let me know!

After I'm done with these - no the summer holiday is not gonna happen - I'm going to release in HQ my 'signature' video - Speakerphone by Kylie, along with a new edit with new scenes for the new, remixed version of the song, so stay tuned and if you have something to say - then do it! :)

"Snow Petals" comics series is getting released in June!!!

Hi everybody - it has been a busy period in my life but it's all good!

But first, the most important thing is my own comics series will be released in Hungary in a famous anime and manga magazin - in June!!! I'm really happy about it, and will give you more infos soon - and more importantly I create for it a new animation too, to promote it! :)
The comics is called "Snow Petals" and it's an adventurous, magical story, starring 4 girls - Kasumi, Narciss, Haruno and Tamaka.

Cross Tale teaser trailer premiere

So about Cross Tale ( the Sailor Moon - Dragon Ball crossover) I have interesting news! Originally I wanted to make it as a gift becouse I was invited to this premiere! It was made as a short film and it's trailer was shown in the televiion but after that!!! After that I got an offer for dubbing! But just if I create it into a decent long cartoon! What can I do? :D Of course - although it will be my hardest work in my life - don't know if I ask for help, but I can imagine - but I had to convert my short film into a teaser trailer! I decided to make the story into an OVA - don't tell how many episodes (don't even know yet) but I already started the works... but for help in colouring and video editing I might go back to the animation studio - to be able to finish the first episode for a possible 2010 release! It's so exciting! :)
I'm gonna post every news about Cross Tale, send sneek peaks and everything but I also started the works for my next music video for a hungarian celebrity! :) It'll be fun! ;)

premiere in the cinema on november 18

Huhh, my friends, I'm sorry I didn't update decent my blog (though I'm very busy) - so here are the news!!! :)

On November 18 we were in a cinema in Kecskemét (the capital of animation in Hungary) where my winner Speakerphone video and my new work - Cross Tale - were premiered!
Before the show I was invited to an animation studio - I was lead around there - it was very interesting and useful becouse I could met some very interesting people who could help me later! :)
Then the premier in the cinema was smething mindblowing - people came to see my MY work!!!! It's so unbelievable for me yet! But I'm very grateful for everyone who came! :)
And one of the best thing about 18th is I got my professional reviews - what I was so nervous about - and they were favorable!!!! This is the best!!!
So after all that day made me even more determined! Thank you all!

Hi everybody! Last 2 week were crazy - I was in almost every television channel - I have zero freetime but.... I LOVE IT! :D I've promoted Kylie quite much and myself as well of course - and I got already offers - and 2 of them are really awesome!!! But they are secrets yet - and nor official so We'll see! :)

But go back to the present! Next project: really very tiny little short film :D Called Cross Tale! :D
Some infos: It will be released in november 18 (2 days after my birthday) so this is all a celebration!! I mean this short film is a thank you for 2 of my most beloved cartoons - actually they launched me to the direction of animation!
In this animation you can see the characters from Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon.

Well, a new week started so I update my blog! It's quite poor yet so I begin with a decent introduction!
I don't want it to be too long... so here I come:

My name is Rudolf Pap, I was born in Hungary on 16/11/89 - so I'm 19 now...
I'm a totally usual guy - I'm at the University now at Literature and Grammar department - although I strongly believe I'm at the wrong place becouse my greatest dream is to be a famous animator! I love cartoons since I was born :D I remember when I was very little I copied the Disney cartoons, then the anime craziness was reached our country as well - so that was my new favourite... But I was different from the most of children becouse in my free time I was just drawing - nothing else - I found out stories about my favourite cartoons and I drawed them... Then when I was around 10-12 years old I tried to do animations - I looked at how do the characters moving and then I drawed them... Ahhh how nostalgic... But enough today I don't want to be boring :D So next time I'll tell you that big secret I was talking about - I can't do it yet! :)

Well, next that I'm a future animator, I'm a model and a student too! On the summer I was busy with my works with the Speakerphone animation, but next to that I made time to shoot with a genial photographer for a korean label. I got not long ago the pictures and I'm very confident, they are beautiful... maybe I'll post them here too! But it's not good just becouse of that - becouse I was entertaining at the photoshoot - I was invited to South Korea for an underwear shoot at the end of this october!!! WOW! I'm shocked - I admire Asia and Seoul is a wonderful and exciting place so I'm really excited! Of course I have to start the training and work out my body becouse it won't be that easy - but never mind! Next to that, I'm over with my firs 2 weeks on the University - which was a bit more tireing than I was imagined - but I think just I need to get use to it and It will be better!
But I store the best new to the end! Soon you will know about it too! ;) (Yeah I'm nasty! :D)
